Dominick Totino was born and raised in Queens into a large Italian family – where food always played a major role in family gatherings. He learned how to cook from watching his mother and he now enjoys cooking alongside with his wife, Rae.
Dominick stumbled upon his career while attaining his degree in Computer Science Engineering in college. He was required to take an art course and decided to try his hands at photography – in no time he was hooked. He switched majors and graduated from Lehman College with a B.A. in Art with concentration in Photography.
Mr. Totino started out as a wedding photographer and doing other side photo work in the meantime. His big break came in 1997 when he started working for the then Office of the Queens Borough President, Claire Shulman. Shortly after, he became the exclusive photographer for the Queens Borough President for the next 17 years. Since leaving in October 2014, Dominick now covers corporate and PR events – including many events for QCP and other non-profits.
He is been the official photographer to the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade for 17 years and is also entering his 8th year as photographer for the prestigious New York International Auto Show at the Javits Convention Center.
For the past several years he has covered a great deal of work for NY Presbyterian Queens Hospital and has traveled around the country covering conventions for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.
Dominick enjoys traveling to the many new destinations that his career takes him, including Russia. He has been married to his wife, Rae, since 1993 and has two wonderful boys, Joey & David, and a great pup, Buddy!
